WOC Coaching Client Increases Pay by 73% in Less Than a Year

We love it when our Real You Leadership graduates share their wins with us! ✨

It’s bittersweet when clients graduate from our leadership group coaching program. We are so damn proud of their growth and transformation over the course of their coaching, and we miss sharing their energy every week.

But it’s not over. Our bond evolves beyond the coaching container.

The work doesn’t end after graduating from our program.

While working together, we help our clients build sustainable change and repeatable practices that they’ll have for the rest of their lives.

Our grads drop their wins in our Graduate Slack channel. They email us sharing in ALL CAPS about their new promotions and job offers $$$. They DM us with their mindset shifts and continued practices to show up as their true, authentic selves.

As BIPOC women & femmes we are not celebrated enough, and in RYL we celebrate you each and every step of the way. Nothing is too big or too small to share and celebrate. Our joy is abundant.

Just last month, one of our graduates, Dorothy, updated us that not only did she get promoted to a Director role, but she also negotiated a fat 44% salary increase!

And…this was after negotiating a 20% pay adjustment back in December.

When we asked her what shifted for her to negotiate like a badass, she shared:

“I stopped approaching self-advocating and negotiating from a place of aggression and self-defense, and started to view it as an act of self-preservation and love. Once my point of view shifted, it became so much easier to speak up for myself and stand firm in my asks. I’m still not perfect at it, but I get so much joy out of just practicing and trying! I know that every time I say or ask for something that scares me, I’m flexing my muscles and growing into a bolder, braver version of myself.”

Not only did she increase her compensation by 73% in less than one year, but she also found joy and self-love.

We hear so much about self-care and self-love, and to truly embody it, to put it into practice every day takes work. As Dorothy said, it can still be scary AND she’s still growing and improving.

And you don’t have to do it alone.

Many of our clients have come to us scared to ask for what they want. And it’s possible to show up differently, to show up with confidence. Yes, it’s ok to negotiate scared, sweaty even. What’s important is that you love yourself enough to try.

By choosing to join a safe, intentional space, you, too, can explore what’s holding you back and move through challenges with coaching support.

In Real You Leadership, you’ll have a whole community of BIPOC women and femmes behind you, hyping you up because we know you’re capable of doing the damn thing.

If you’re ready to break patterns that no longer serve you and to be held by a powerful community, we invite you to enroll in our next cohort!
