When I was able to select my own professional coach, I chose to work with Nadia. She conducted a very helpful and informative 360 review on my behalf and in the months that followed, she guided me how I could be a stronger leader from the front (vs. from the side). The biggest learning that uncovered itself in this work with Nadia was shifting my focus from the external to the internal. I was so focused on what others thought about me, my choices, but I didn't focus on how I felt about my decisions. Or if I did it was always a lower priority.

Before RYL I struggled with being seen/noticed, I preferred to stay in the background and quietly do what I need to do. I didn’t really want to show up as my full and authentic self at work and risk being judged as unworthy. I joined RYL, because I began to recognize that I needed a change. First of all, I think every woman of color especially should have a coach to navigate these waters. By just guessing and checking I don’t think is the most effective way, but to have somebody in your corner letting you know you know this is the best decision, or asking questions about what’s actually going on in your environment, letting you know this is not normal. Because a lot of situations will happen to you just based on you being a woman of color within the workplace and I think everyone needs a coach, and I think specifically with you. It was so nuanced, it wasn’t just cookie cutter. You showed up every day committed to this and it felt like you had no other clients. It felt like I was your only client and just remembering the information, even little things I’ve told you the week before… It was so so so important.

During our call, we will talk about your unique goals and how we can align as your coach.
If we determine that we are a good fit, we’ll take you through the next steps to get started.
If not, we won’t pressure you or get salesy. We understand that this is an important decision and want the best for you.
We expect clients to prepare a topic and to make any necessary preparations to be fully present for our session.
In the beginning of the session, we will invite you to ground, and we’ll co-create what we both need to feel safe and supported during the session. We will then ask you what you want coaching on and what you’d like out of the session. You are always at choice to choose, amend, update your topic and our coaching destination.
Most of our time spent will be exploring, gaining clarity, processing, bringing awareness, checking for alignment, checking for any inner haters, challenging limiting beliefs, noticing how your body reacts, inviting you to connect to your inner wisdom, celebrating your growth and healing, and anything else you feel called to.
We’ll guide you as the coach during this process through asking you open ended questions and reflecting back what you’ve shared. As your coach, we will also hold your goals you’ve set for yourself and connect back to them during our sessions.
Towards the end of the session, we will invite you to commit to some kind of action to integrate what you’ve learned during your session.
Our goal is for you to come to your own resonant decisions and for you reclaim your inner power and wisdom. We’re here to help you create a special, healing and safe container to connect back to yourself.
Our coaching packages are 3 or 6 months long. Each Month you have two 1-hr bi-weekly sessions. Prior to each of your sessions, you will need to prepare a topic and will be invited to fill out a pre-session reflection.
Coaching is an energetic investment. You are getting radical support to take action, make changes, break cycles, make space to heal past trauma, step out of your comfort zone. It can be a lot, AND your coach will be there for you to hold and witness you through your incremental growth and transformation. We will celebrate you each step of the way.

Our 1:1 Coaching is for and centered around the lilved experiences, leadership journeys, and systemic challenges of Black, Indigenous, Women, and Femmes of Color. We welcome trans women and non-binary people.
