I sought out coaching services as I recognized that while I was excelling in my role, I lacked the necessary language and strategy to effectively advocate for myself and my contributions to leadership. Nadia provided me with the tools needed to prove my value to my employer and I was promoted shortly afterwards.
I have come to the realization that it is not necessary for me to change my fundamental persona in order to assume a leadership role. I possess the ability to inspire others while remaining authentic to my core values and beliefs.
I trust myself so much more!

The biggest learning that uncovered itself in this work with Nadia was shifting my focus from the external to the internal. I was so focused on what others thought about me, my choices, but I didn't focus on how I felt about my decisions. Or if I did it was always a lower priority.
This work showed me the power of tapping into what already exists and taking the time to listen. Never have I ever trusted my intuition more. I don’t make decisions based on fear or external pressures. I am not perfect, but I trust myself now to do what is best for me. Something that I wasn’t able to do before I started this work.

I now have a stronger framework for approaching negotiations and tough conversations. I'm better at recognizing when I'm caught in thought spirals and have learned how to break them down and address the underlying issues more effectively. I'm also giving myself more grace, building greater self-confidence, learning to appreciate myself and feeling proud of my achievements.
It’s 100% worth the investment! Nadia deeply understands the cultural and gender dynamics unique to our demographic, and she genuinely lives by the same values she coaches her clients on. Every session with her has given me meaningful insights, practical takeaway and clear action steps. In just three months, I’ve experienced tremendous personal growth, and I intend to continue coaching with her because I’m confident she can continue to help me grow and reach even greater potential.

Before RYL I struggled with being seen/noticed, I preferred to stay in the background and quietly do what I need to do. I didn’t really want to show up as my full and authentic self at work and risk being judged as unworthy. I joined RYL, because I began to recognize that I needed a change. I was no longer content being invisible, but still was uncomfortable being seen. I knew I needed help bridging that gap.
The biggest thing I’ve learned during my time with RYL is that I am my only limiter. I will only stop achieving, when I stop striving. I will never be able to be my full self, if I don’t try break down the walls and compartments I’ve built for my life. If I choose to do the work, I will see results.

First of all, I think every woman of color especially should have a coach to navigate these waters. By just guessing and checking I don’t think is the most effective way, but to have somebody in your corner letting you know you know this is the best decision, or asking questions about what’s actually going on in your environment, letting you know this is not normal. Because a lot of situations will happen to you just based on you being a woman of color within the workplace and I think everyone needs a coach, and I think specifically with you. It was so nuanced, it wasn’t just cookie cutter. You showed up every day committed to this and it felt like you had no other clients. It felt like I was your only client and just remembering the information, even little things I’ve told you the week before… It was so so so important.
I think everyone should invest in coaching and I think specifically with you because it's internal work, it’s external work, it’s very focused on who you are as a person. And then getting to whatever goals you set in the beginning and I think you’re very committed to that.
